Throughout uni I have chosen powerpoint as my preferred method to deliver assessment pieces. I feel very confident and comfortable working with this multimedia program, it is really just easier to use it rather than a whole new program that I know nothing about. Many lectures incorporate powerpoint to deliver specific content for the educational courses. Again, this is probably due to the simplicity and ease of use.
Powerpoint has many key features such as ability to add images, sound, animations, text, graphs, tables, diagrams, bold, enlarge text and the list goes on. It can be used to deliver oral presentations, present findings, reflect, observe, movies/videos and many more. It is a very effective interactive tool that is widely used throughout the world.
Prezi
I have just created my first prezi. At this stage, I have to say I am not a really big fan of this multimedia software. I found it very difficult to operate and quite frustrating when it kept zooming in and out. I know that is what prezi is meant to do, but it was rather annoying. I think the idea and concept behind prezi is great. Opens up alot of new thoughts and ideas and a completely different way to present something. While I felt annoyed, I was intrigued and engaged at the same time. I wanted to learn more and keep manipulating my prezi. I would be interested to explore prezi more and who knows maybe one day I was use prezi in my classroom.
Here is the very rough but first attempt experimenting with prezi
